Mercer County Resource Handbook

Our Home's Family Crisis Network helps victims of domestic violence & sexual assault survive their trauma & build a life free from abuse through education and advocacy.

All Services are free & confidential. Services include a 24-hour crisis helpline, safety planning and case management, emergency safe shelter for victims & their children, assistance with protection orders, courtroom advocacy, and ongoing support.

If you are in danger, call 911. Otherwise, call or text our 24/7 Crisis Helpline at (419) 586-1133 to speak with Family Crisis Network Staff. We will discuss your situation, evaluate your options, and assist in setting goals that support your decisions.

At our Home Family Resource Center, we understand that domestic violence and sexual assault are serious issues that can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, socio-economic status, or sexual orientation. We believe that every person has the right to a life free of abusive and controlling behaviors. That's why we offer a Family Crisis Network to provide support, resources, and hope to individuals and families affected by these issues.

Domestic violence is more than just physical aggression; it can involve emotional abuse, intimidation, stalking, neglect, and financial control. Although not all domestic violence behaviors are considered criminal, they are still wrong. We want you to know that you are not alone and there is help available. Every person has the right to a life free of abusive and controlling behaviors.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, it's important to know that you have the right to leave the relationship, even if the abuse has not become physical. Our Family Crisis Network is here to help. We can provide you with a safe and confidential space to talk about your experiences, develop a safety plan, and get the support and resources you need to escape a dangerous situation.

Sexual assault is a traumatic experience that no one should have to go through. It includes any involuntary sexual act in which a person is coerced or forced to engage against their will. Our Family Crisis Network is here to provide support and resources to survivors of sexual assault, including counseling, referrals to local services, and assistance with reporting the crime.

We believe that everyone deserves to live a life free of violence and abuse. We are here to listen to you, support you, and help you on your journey towards healing and recovery. Our Family Crisis Network is available 24/7 to provide immediate assistance and support to those in need. Remember, you are not alone, and we are here for you.
