The Mercer County Angel Tree Program
Help Local Children Experience the Joy of Christmas
The Mercer County Angel Tree Program, a special program of Our Home, collaborates with local churches, businesses, organizations, and individuals to provide Christmas gifts for children of income-eligible families in Mercer County. These gifts help ease financial strain while ensuring that children experience the joy and excitement of the holiday season.

Every Christmas, hundreds of Mercer County families turn to Our Home Family Resource Center for a little extra help, and thanks to our incredible community, we’re able to make Christmas brighter for children who might otherwise go without. Each year, our Angel Tree Program provides approximately 2,700 gifts to 900 local children. Each toy, book, and warm outfit was a reminder that our community cares, and that together, we can make the season shine for every child.
How Angel Tree Works

Families Apply for Help
Local families with children ages 12 and younger register through Our Home. Each child receives 3 Angel Tree tags (2 toys and 1 outfit). -
Donors Make Christmas Possible
Generous community members, businesses, and organizations shop for those tags and spread hope to children across Mercer County. -
Parents Choose the Perfect Gifts
The donated gifts are displayed for parents to personally select what their children will love most. This gives families the joy of giving, and restores compassion, dignity, and hope during the holidays.

Your financial gift helps fill food bags, cover program costs, and ensure every child’s Christmas wish can come true. [Donate Now]

3. Volunteer
It takes hundreds of volunteers to bring Angel Tree to life, from setting up to helping families choose gifts.

Be an Angel This Christmas
When you give to Angel Tree, you’re doing more than providing gifts; you’re giving joy, hope, and the spirit of community to local families who need it most. Together, we can help Mercer County Survive, Rebuild, and Overcome.​​​​
Registration:
Registration for 2025 opens on October 13, 2025. If you are a Mercer County resident facing financial hardship and need help obtaining Christmas gifts for your children, you are welcome to register. Our Home will close registration at the end of our business day on November 18, 2025. All registrations must be on time to be accepted. We will not accept late registrations. Distribution:
After applying, you will receive a confirmation email if you are approved for the program. Bring that email and photo identification to Celina First Church of God at 850 Fairground Rd, Celina, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the time designated in your confirmation email.​​
