Over the past year, Our Home Family Resource Center’s Family Crisis Network provided assistance in over 450 instances of domestic violence, and provided over 1300 bed nights in our safe shelter. While these numbers seem substantial, we know that there are still some who are silently enduring abusive behavior in their homes and relationships, and we want to reach them too!
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we have planned outdoor banners, window displays, and visits to Wright State Lake Campus. In addition to these things, our Facebook & Twitter pages are focused on sharing facts about domestic violence. The purpose for each domestic violence post and picture is to send a message to those who are experiencing abuse in their homes and relationships … to send them a clear message that they deserve to live a life free from the cruel, controlling behavior they are enduring and prompt them to reach out for help.
☎If you think you are being abused by someone you love, call Our Home Family Resource Center’s Family Crisis Network Helpline at 419-586-1133 for Confidential, Anonymous Help☎
Once victims reach out to us, we can begin helping them escape their abusive situations through safety planning, legal advocacy, counseling, and safe shelter.
