You have probably heard that couponing is a great way to save money on groceries, shampoo, toothpaste, and other items for your home…but, have you ever considered couponing as a means for doing good?
Well, that’s exactly what Erica Hall (Welker) did. She went shopping over the weekend and through couponing was able to secure a number of personal care items at substantially reduced prices (even some for free). Then, today, she donated some of those items to OUR Home Family Resource Center.
We sincerely appreciate this donation because we can share these personal care items with Mercer County residents in need through both our food pantry and the crisis center. Items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper and feminine care items are not always available for our clients and the type and availability of personal products is fully dependent upon private donations we receive at OUR Home.
OUR Home is located at 117 West Fayette Street in Celina. The food pantry is offered through OUR Home’s Direct Services & Referral Program and operates Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm.
You can support OUR Home too as an advocate, a volunteer, or a donor. For details regarding our specific programs and needs, visit www.ourhomefrc.com or call 419-586-4663
