A reverse #AdventCalendar is a simple, effective way to embrace the spirit of giving throughout the Christmas season!

Add an item (or two) each day to a basket or box and then, after Christmas, deliver your items to your local food pantry.

Uncertain what to include in a reverse advent calendar?

Think about staples, or non-perishable food items and things that folks on limited income can’t or won’t normally purchase for themselves. Stick with items that are canned, boxed, or in plastic containers (no glass) to lessen chances of breakage. We’ve provided a list (below) to help get you started.

  • Baked beans
  • Canned soups
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Instant potatoes
  • Cake/Cookie/Brownie mixes
  • Icing
  • Saltines
  • Cornbread mix
  • Instant pudding/jello
